Privacy Policy of the Austrian Water Rescue
The Austrian Water Rescue (ÖWR) considers the protection of your personal data a special concern and takes your data protection very seriously. The ÖWR therefore treats your personal data confidentially and exclusively on the basis of legal provisions (GDPR, TKG 2003). This privacy policy informs you about how the ÖWR processes data collected by it. It is expressly pointed out that data transmission on the Internet can generally be subject to security vulnerabilities. Complete protection against access by third parties cannot be guaranteed with absolute certainty despite the utmost care. However, without electronic data processing, the ÖWR would no longer be able to fulfill the tasks assigned to it.
Contact with Us
If you contact us via a form on the website or by email, the data you provide will be stored by us for six months for the purpose of processing your inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We will not pass on this data without your consent.
Personal Data
By submitting your data to the ÖWR, you also expressly consent to the storage and use of this data by the ÖWR, as well as to the transfer to control centers, ministries and EU authorities/institutions for emergency response handling and to the Federal Management and Regional Associations of the ÖWR for the purpose of organizational and professional administration, financial processing, member management, sending of association information, information about events and invitations. It should be noted that this data may generally be stored indefinitely.
Donations
Donations can be deducted from taxes, however, the following data of the donor must be forwarded to the tax office so that the donation receipt can be issued: first and last name, date of birth and address. Please note that your donation receipt can only be issued if the data is correctly filled in. You can of course also make an anonymous donation to the ÖWR.
Newsletter
You have the option of subscribing to our newsletter via our website. For this we need your email address and your declaration that you agree to receive the newsletter.
In order to provide you with targeted information, we also collect and process voluntarily provided information on areas of interest, birthday and postal code, etc.
As soon as you have registered for the newsletter, we will send you a confirmation email with a link to confirm your registration (double opt-in).
You can cancel your newsletter subscription at any time. Please send your cancellation to the following email address: rudolf.loferer@wasserrettung.at. We will then immediately delete your data in connection with the newsletter dispatch.
